How allergen disclosure works before a customer books an in-home meal-prep session.
Customer responsibility
Customers must disclose hard allergens, dietary restrictions, disliked ingredients, and household restrictions before booking.
If allergies are severe, customers should contact the chef and support before booking to determine whether the session is appropriate.
Chef responsibility
Chefs must disclose known allergens in menu items and substitutions. Missing allergen data blocks package publishing in the product flow.
Chefs must not claim meals are allergy-safe unless a specific platform policy and verification supports that claim.
No allergy-safe guarantee
Meal Prep Direct does not guarantee allergen-free meals, kitchens, tools, groceries, or containers.
